Welcome to Czech republic – preliminary text

Czech republic belongs with its expanse to mid-sized states. The most of the district occupy uplands and hills. Capital of Czech republic – Prague became European metropolis already in the 14.th century. There are many towns that are registered in list of cultural monuments and sights of UNESCO.


In Bohemian and Moravian country we can still see many of beautiful wooden, brick provincial buildings that entice attention of many tourists. Open-air museums – museums of folk architecture - put us in the picture of life and work of our ancestors.We can get together with lore at fairs, wakes, at south-moravian vintage or at south-bohemian festival of bagpipes.

Czech republic is also rich in warm mineral springs and spas. Thermal springs in foreland of Krusné mountains has founded prestige of towns like Karlovy Vary and Marianske Lazne. There are many other significant spas namely Frantiskovy Lazne, Luhacovice,, Janske Lazne, Teplice, Jesenik.

Tourist districts in Czech republic offer all the year around a large number of sports possibilities. In summer it is mainly cycling. Czech republic is with its specially prepared cycle-ways that connect European cycle-ways, connected to Eurovelo Europeans trails. There are also good conditions for hiking, paragliding, mountain climbing, mountain-bike cycling, water sports, angling. In winter-time skiing, cross-country skiing, sledging, snowboarding.
